PROGRAMS
We strive to provide a personalized approach to
training. We pride ourselves on understanding our
customer specific training needs and incorporate
them into each training session. We do this through
real life examples and incorporating appropriate
pictures from establishments into our PowerPoint
presentation. This process has seen tremendous
success in the retention of the material learned by
each participant.
Food Safety Manager Certification
This 16-hour program meets the requirement for the
Illinois Department of Health. Foodservice Safe will
administer a certification exam and process the
results with the Illinois Department of Public
Health. Individuals who successfully complete the
certification exam with a 75% or better will be
certified for 5 years from the date of the
certification exam. This program is ideal for
managers and supervisors who need to be certified.
Each participant receives comprehensive training
materials which are utilized during the class and
assists students in preparing for the certification
exam.

Food Safety Manager Recertification
This 5-hour refresher program meets the necessary requirement for the
Illinois Department of Health recertification regulation. This program is for
any individual whose certification is expiring.
Alcohol Awareness Certification - Basset
We utilize the TIPS certification program for the 6-hour requirement of
the Illinois Liquor Control Commission. This program is ideal for all
front of the house staff that prepares, serves or sells alcoholic
beverages. The training includes the administration of the testing
component. Many insurance agencies will provide foodservice operators an
insurance premium discount after training and testing your employees.
The Essentials in Food Safety Training
This program focuses on personal health and hygiene,
cross contamination and the importance of keeping
hot foods hot and cold foods cold.
The program teaches your staff reasons why practicing proper food
safety procedures are so important. The program is supported by up to date and
relevant videos from The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
A certificate of completion will be provided to all the participants at the
conclusion of the program. The program includes comprehensive materials to
reinforce the training.
The Essentials in Employee Safety This employee level
training programs identifies preventive measures in
the areas of slips, falls, cuts and burns. All
participants receive a certificate upon completion
of the program. The program includes comprehensive
materials to reinforces the training.
Food Safety Audit This comprehensive program covers
receiving, cold storage, food preparation, general
employee practices and facilities and equipment
cleanliness. This audit program can be utilized to
prepare for future health inspections as well as a
tool to identify training needs.
Food Safety Training Plan The
development of the Food Safety Training Plan is
based upon the results of the food safety audit. The
training plan will identify specific areas to
improve, along with necessary charts to facilitate
